OAU Staff sets to Resume

Prior to the directives of FG, on the 15th of October, 2020, OAU Staff sets to resume for work on Monday. The Federal Government directed civil servants who have not been working since March because of the COVID-19 pandemic to return to work on Monday, 19th October 2020.  This was disclosed by Boss Mustapha; the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and Sanni Aiyu; the National Coordinator at a press briefing of the task force on Thursday ,15th October 2020. However, the resumption of the OAU staff was disseminated through a press release from the Office of the Registrar. All staff are advised to comply with the advisory on COVID-19 prevention. While there is still no news on the resumption of students, they are advised to stay safe and protest peacefully. Stay safe. Na person wey dey alive dey go school.  #EndSwat #Endsars

NFF Axe Keshi, Reappoint Shaibu Amodu

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in the early hours of Thursday have announced the contract termination of Coach Stephen Keshi as the Super Eagles head coach.

After a long hours meeting of the Executive board members held at the Transcrop hilton hotel in Abuja the board unanimously agreed to part away with the Big Boss and his technical crew.

Speaking with cross section of the press shortly after the meeting at 1am Nigeria time on Thursday, first vice President of the Federation, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi said the Federation appreciated Keshi and will give due support to him and his technical crew.
“You could recall Keshi and his technical crew
contract expired after the World cup, and the federation have decided not to renew their contract,” Akinwunmi revealed.

“The Federation appreciated his effort for the success he achieved and the development of our football.

TASUED & YABATECH Join The First Closed Student Conference In OAU

Breaking Report reaching us now from the organizers of the 360 Degrees; The First Closed Student Conference In OAU has it that students of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu Ode and that of Yaba College of Technology will be joining the first of its kind Conference this Saturday.

The students from these schools are expected to join via the Youtube Channel dedicated to the Conference as it will be streaming live, the events as they unfold right from the Conference Hall of the Obafemi Awolowo University.
Selected and Notified Attendees of the Conference are expected to pick up their Invitation Letters at the designated centres sent to them. The Conference starts 9:15am prompt on Saturday 18th October, 2014 in OAU.

Suspended OAU Student Drags Management To Court

One of suspended students of the Africa's most beautiful campus, Sanyaolu Oluwajuwon a.k.a Comrade Juwon has dragged the management of Obafemi Awolowo University to the Law Court over what he felt as unjustifiable and illegal indefinite suspension of his studentship.
Comrade Juwon had earlier on the 16th September, 2014 filed a suit at the Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo, the capital of The State of Osun challenging his suspension. The Court which sat today for the first time on the suit could not do much as the case was adjourned till November 13, 2014. This was based on the objection raised by the Defense Counsels that their client jut got the writ of summon yesterday.

Aregbesola Says Education Is Important For Sustainable National Development

Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Governor of the state of Osun, has said that education is important for sustainable national development to take its course in our nation Nigeria.
The Governor while delivering his lecture as the Guest Speaker at the 6th Prince Bola Ajibola annual lecture series, organised by the Magna Curia chambers of Obafemi Awolowo University, held at the University’s Oduduwa hall in Ile-Ife, Osun State, he noted the decadence and declining state of our education in Nigeria. Texas Town Quarantined After Family Of Five Test Positive For The Ebola Virus

The small town of Purdon, Texas has been quarantined after a family of five tested positive for the Ebola virus. Purdon is located just 70 miles from Dallas, Texas, and the hospital that has cared for both American Ebola patients, Thomas Eric Duncan, and Texas nurse, Nina Pham.

It has been verified that Jack Phillips returned from Dallas last week while on business. Shortly after arriving home, Mr. Phillips began exhibiting flu-like symptoms, but did not immediately go to the hospital. At this time his wife and children began showing similar symptoms, which provoked the family to get tested. Doctors then learned that Phillips, his wife, and three children had contracted Ebola haemorrhagic fever.

Breech Of Agreement Led To Coca-Cola Concert Shutdown

REPORT: Coke Studio Bus Tour OAU Edition. On behalf of the Students’ Union Social Committee, I want to appreciate OAU Students who came for the Coke Studio Africa Concert that held at the Sports Hall Car Park yesterday Friday 10th October 2014. I also want to thank the students for comporting themselves and being good ambassadors of the school. Coke Studio Bus Tour is a musical entertainment concert that aims at promoting talented student artistes on campuses.
