The news dedicated to winners chapel int'l and its plans to establish school in the UK, the BBC introduced under the headline "Nigerian witchcraft Church in bid to open Kent school"

MTN Launches N10 Recharge Card Today

Subscribers to the telecommunications service provider, MTN Nigeria will, as from today, have the opportunity to recharge their phones for as low as N10.
The Chief Marketing Officer of MTN, Bayo Adekanmbi, revealed this in a statement on Thursday.

The statement quoted Adekambi to have said that the initiative, to be launched in Kano, was to ensure that no Nigerian was shut out of the values that the network offers.

It stated, “Apart from making it possible for customers to purchase airtime at the lowest rates, it also offers opportunities for small scale entrepreneurs to sell low-unit portion packs of recharge cards as a new revenue stream. Again, everyday people such as Maishayi, neighbourhood stalls, housewives, students, etc would also benefit immensely from this proposition.”

But seriously, will this N10 airtime be really useful? It looks like not necessary to me jor!

Senate Finally Passes Cyber Crime Bill Into Law

By Emeka Aginam
When Nigeria's telecoms revolution took off after the licensing of GSM operators in 2001, it heralded positive developments for Nigerians as a people, and the economy in general. Communications among Nigerians and between Nigeria and the rest of the world, which was very difficult, became simplified almost overnight.
As the GSM operators penetrated the virgin market, information technology devices became prime gadgets for acquisition by Nigerians.

In no time, computers with internet connections became ubiquitous, and with the coming of data services, devices with mobile internet capability became choice attraction. When the tablet computer took the world by storm, Nigeria and Nigerians were not left out as tablets of various brands found their way to Nigeria, and were promptly gobbled up by a population whose desire to communicate became almost insatiable.

Thus, Nigerians joined the rest of the world in being active in cyberspace. Thousands, even millions, opened em…

Female Student Passes Night In Awolowo Hall Block 8

What will we not see in Awolowo Hall of Obafemi Awolowo University? Just this morning, a female student who is strongly suspected to have slept overnight in a room very close to the room of Ibikunle (Students' Union President) emerged. She was sighted by our correspondent at about 8:15am today (5th November, 2014) brushing her teeth at the back veranda of the room. Block 7 occupants who raised alarm as she brushes mocked her with the usual 'Aro' condemning her action. Some Block 7 occupants alleged that they have been seeing same lady since Sunday evening this week. Female folks have been coming to Awolowo Hall anytime of the day but sleeping over is very rare and it is something that should not be encouraged. Just last week, a complex rape case was reported on campus whereby a female student of OAU was raped in the perpetrator's room during the day (2pm) and this is one of those activities that instigate such.

Our female students are encouraged to always respect thei…

Yomade Balogun Appreciates Everyone As She Celebrates Her Birthday In Health

Do you remember Yomade Balogun? or the #SaveYomade campaign? If not, you can read this "Save Me From Death" -OAU Student Cries. Yomade cried out sometimes in July/August and pleaded for assistance from Great Ife students and Nigerians over her ailing health.
We are very happy to inform you that Yomade is now doing very fine. In a message she sent across to her friends and helpers from India (as the Google locator indicated), she appreciated everyone that heeded to her cry and came to her rescue during her dying period. She also announced her birthday to be tomorrow. The message reads;
"I am beyond grateful. My heart is filled with joy. God has poured the oil of gladness upon my soul. Words cannot express my gratitude. He made a way where there seems to be no way. He reminded me everyday that I am not alone in my struggles. In the midst of the trials he raised men and women whom I remain eternally grateful to. Newly Admitted OAU Predegree Students To Pay N212,500

In Alero Idowu of Channels TV's voice; "There seems to be a raised-fee wind blowing across Nigeria universities right now. The latest one being the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife...", the Pre-Degree programme of the foremost varsity is also not left out in the wind erosion as the school fees has assumed a more expensive state.
Just immediately after the release of the results of the entrance examination of the aspirants for the 2014/2015 Predegree programme, the cut-off marks for various Subject Combinations were disclosed which obviously pointed to the fact that the performance this year was very poor(See the cut-off marks here). Those who are within the 'grace zone' have been told to start paying for the Programme and to the surprise of many, there was a substantial increment in the total fees. The school fees that has been stable for the past two sessions showed an increment from N162,500 to N212,500. These admitted students have less than two weeks to get th…
