OAU Staff sets to Resume

Prior to the directives of FG, on the 15th of October, 2020, OAU Staff sets to resume for work on Monday. The Federal Government directed civil servants who have not been working since March because of the COVID-19 pandemic to return to work on Monday, 19th October 2020.  This was disclosed by Boss Mustapha; the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and Sanni Aiyu; the National Coordinator at a press briefing of the task force on Thursday ,15th October 2020. However, the resumption of the OAU staff was disseminated through a press release from the Office of the Registrar. All staff are advised to comply with the advisory on COVID-19 prevention. While there is still no news on the resumption of students, they are advised to stay safe and protest peacefully. Stay safe. Na person wey dey alive dey go school.  #EndSwat #Endsars

Admissions:2017/2018 Merit List Released

This is to inform the aspirants of the Obafemi Awolowo University that the merit list for the 2017/2018 admissions has been released..

Speaking with  OAU Peeps News Agency,University Registrar, Dotun Awoyemi ,confirmed the release of the admission list and further advised other aspirants who are yet to see their names to keep checking JAMB website...

We therefore urge candidates to follow the procedure below to check their admission status

1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile.
2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with.
3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page.
4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page.
5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferably to use a PC.
6. You'll see some options listed at the left-hand side. Click on 'Admission Status'.
7. It'll then bring your details.
If you've been admitted, you can either 'Accept admission' or 'Reject admission'.

If you are yet to be admitted, you will see : "admission in progress, check back later" under the tag 'Admission Status'. In this case, you won't be able to click on the 'Accept admission' or 'Reject admission' button.

As at the time of filing this report,there are some candidates who made the merit cut off mark and are yet to see their names on the admission list. We urge this category of Candidates to be patient and keep checking JAMB website as uploading is in progress..

    Cause I applied for pharmacy and the merit is 70.2 catchment is 67.3 and I am having 64.8 ...

    Pls I need urgent reply can they change my course to at least biochemistry

    Oau pls gives us ADMSSION so we can move our MISSION, this TENSION has led to DEPRESSION this depression will leave us to HYPERTENTION, pls makes DECISION so we can enjoy MATRICULATION, so we can hear CONGRATULATION. We loves ur INSTITUTION and chose it, dont leave us in APPRENSION. We are tired of watching TELEVISION. We are MATURE let us receive LECTURE.

  18. Those that met catchment & elds cutoff are yet to be admitted and some depts are yet to upload merit. The aspirants have no information on the admission process. Before someone will ave hbp let's know what we r to expect pls

  25. You can get the merit list in this area with the better description. Just find the best goal here with the useful link and find your name in the merit list. No doubt the merit is high but it's your duty to prepare for the best.

OAU Post-UTME Registration Commences on the 5th of October 2020

By  Ganiyu Ayanniyi The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife is set to start Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (PUTME) registration on the 5th of October, 2020 for Jamb candidates who picked the institution as their first as well as for Direct Entry (DE) applicants. The registration form which is obtainable via the school portal (admission.oauife.edu.ng) at the amount of N2,000 is expected to close on the 31st of October, 2020.
After the payment for the registration form which would require generating Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number from the school portal, there will be need to authenticate the payment.
It is to be noted that the Post-UTME screening will be strictly observed under the guidelines as released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) at the following centres: a) JAMB CBT Centre, Bwari b) Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.
