OAU: NASELS Loses A Reputable Lecturer

Professor  Asiyanbola, a lecturer of Stylistics at the department of English, lost his life to the cold hand of death within the last 24 hours. The department was thrown into great shock in the light of this news. Professor Asiyanbola was considered to be a rare gem and he would be missed. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

COVID-19: School Reopening

By Pelumi Hassan The Federal Government has proven that the voice and actions of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has not gone unnoticed. FG addressed the issue of the reopening of tertiary institutions on Monday 17th of August, 2020. The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Control of COVID-19, Mr Boss Mustapha disclosed that tertiary institution would only be reopened when it is safe to do so.  He said;
“Today, the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) examinations commenced all over the country, like in other West African States, and the PTF is happy to note the high level of compliance with the protocols for the re-opening of exit classes. It is in this light that we appreciate the call by the for the reopening of tertiary institutions.
